The heat over the concern of India playing the Asia Cup 2023 in Pakistan and the latter playing the ODI World Cup 2023 in India is getting intense with every passing day. Just a few days back, the media reports from the meeting of Asian Cricket’s governing body understood that the men in blue will play their Asia Cup games outside of Pakistan in the tournament.

Whereas, in a same-line development in the events, a recent report from ESPNcricinfo suggests that Pakistan also looking ahead to do the same with their matches in the 13th edition of the ODI World Cup which will be played in India.

“Discussions have occurred that could see Pakistan playing its 2023 ODI World Cup matches in Bangladesh. India is the host for the tournament but given tense political relations between the two countries, the idea was discussed at the meetings of cricket’s governing body last week, with the hybrid Asia Cup model being looked at as a solution. Pakistan is hosting the Asia Cup but India will play their games at a neutral venue,” reads the report.

Although a section of the Indian cricket fans took it as an opportunity to troll Pakistan over their stance in World Cricket; fans took to Twitter to come up with some hilarious reactions and responses while trolling Pakistan.

Recently, the Pakistan team was in the headlines for their embarrassing series defeat against Afghanistan in the three-match T20I series. Star all-rounder Shadab Khan led the team including a lot of PSL youngsters on the national side. Still, eventually, it was Rashid Khan’s Afghanistan that completely outclassed the men in green to win the series by a margin of 2-1 with straight wins in the first and second ODI respectively.
