Quetta Gladiators skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has launched a scathing attack on Salman Butt for criticising him. The former Pakistan opener had slammed Sarfaraz after Quetta's defeat to Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League. Sarfaraz was seen losing his temper at his teammates during crucial moments of the game which didn't go well with Butt, who questioned Sarfaraz's performance.

“They (Quetta Gladiators) also lost last year. You (Sarfaraz Ahmed) are the captain of the team since the inception of PSL. He is making things difficult for himself and he won’t have any answers tomorrow,” said Salman in a YouTube video.

“He should focus on himself and his performance. He has been travelling as a second wicketkeeper with the Pakistan team since the last couple of years. So, he needs to concentrate on himself instead bothering about other player’s performance,” he added.

Meanwhile, Butt's comments irked Sarfaraz who lashed out at the southpaw on Twitter. Sarfaraz even called Butt a fixer who sold out its own country while playing for it.

"Pakistan ko on duty beachne wala fixer jub niyat pe bhashan dega phir to Allah he Hafiz hai (If the one who sold Pakistan on duty is giving lectures, then only god can protect) .#justsying,”

tweeted the 34-year-old without naming Butt.

Notably, Butt was found guilty of spot-fixing during the 2009 tour of England. Post his cricket career, Butt became a cricket analyst and often gives his views on cricket related matters.
