Team India are currently busy playing the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. They began their World Cup campaign by defeating arch-rivals Pakistan by four wickets in Melbourne. Then, they took on the Netherlands in Sydney in their second game. The Men in Blue won the game with ease by a margin of 56 runs. 

After that, team India locked horns with the Proteas in Perth. So, fans were expecting a great show again from Rohit Sharma and his men. Even, Pakistani fans were hoping for India’s win as that result can keep them alive in the tournament. Speaking about the match, Rohit Sharma won the toss and choose to bat first against the Proteas.

However, KL Rahul managed only 13 runs in the first two matches. So, fans were hoping to see Rishabh Pant in the playing XI instead of him. But, Rohit Sharma confirmed that KL Rahul has been included. India made just one change as they brought in Deepak Hooda in place of Axar Patel. Therefore, Rishabh Pant missed playing XI once again in the World Cup. But, the decision did not go well in the match.

South African bowlers were on a roll as they bamboozled the top-order batters of team India. India were in a spot of bother as they lost five wickets for 49 runs in 8.3 overs. Fans were in shock seeing such a disastrous batting performance against the Proteas. They came up and shared their views on such a performance. He last played in two practice matches against the Western Australia XI, But, Pant failed to score big despite getting opportunities.
