The young Kolkata Knight Riders batter Rinku Singh did something in the Indian Premier League 2023 on Sunday against Gujarat Titans that would be remembered for years to come. Rinku smashed five consecutive sixes in the last over of the match when KKR required 29 runs off five balls.
The blistering Southpaw snatched the victory from the jaw of Gujarat Titans and won the match for Kolkata in thrilling style by a close margin of three wickets. Meanwhile, an old tweet of Riyan Parag is going viral on social media in which the Rajasthan Royals’ batter wrote, “My inner conscience says I’m hitting 4 sixes in an over at some point this IPL.”

Coming back to Rinku Singh, the 25-year-old blistering UP batter smashed 48 runs off just 21 balls with a boundary and six sixes to his name while chasing the target of 205 runs for the Knight Riders. He also won the ‘Player of the Match award for his outstanding and match-defining batting heroics.
Now, he will be in action for KKR in their fourth match in the tournament against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Both teams will play this match at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata on Friday, the 14th of April.
Kolkata have won two out of the three matches they played so far in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The close 3-wicket win against GT was their second successive win in the tournament.
