Bhilwara Kings and Gujarat Giants locked horns in the 11th game of the ongoing second season of the Legends League Cricket 2022. The game was played at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur. The Kings won the toss and elected to field first. This decision wasn't proving to be a good one before Jesal Karia took the wicket of Lendl Simmons.

Simmons and Chris Gayle scored 40 runs in the first 4.4 overs. Skipper Parthiv Patel followed in the next over as he was caught at deep midwicket by Rajesh Bishnoi off Yusuf Pathan. Kevin O'Brien started his innings with a four only to perish on the second ball. At 51/3, Gayle and Yashpal Singh stitched a partnership of 70 runs. The former scored 68 off 40 balls before being caught at covers by Pathan off Shane Watson.

Thisara Perera came in and played a cameo of 19 in 11 balls. On the other hand, Yashpal scored 58 off 37 balls before being run out on the last ball of the innings. The Red Brigade managed to get 186/7 at the end of the innings.

The total just wasn't enough for Giants

In reply, Bhilwara had a great start as William Porterfield and Morne Van Wyk scored 57 runs in the first six overs. The latter scored 26 off 16 before his inning was cut short by Mitchell McClenaghan. Shane Watson followed in the next over as he was cleaned up by Graeme Swann. Nick Compton failed to create an impact as he became the second victim of Swann.

Porterfield scored 40 before he was caught at deep square leg by O'Brien off Ashok Dinda. At 96/4, Yusuf Pathan and Jesal Karia stitched an important partnership of 47 runs to take the close to the target. The former scored 39 off just 18 balls which helped the team's cause in the end. After his wicket, his younger brother and the team's skipper Irfan Pathan came out to bat. Pathan scored an unbeaten 26 while Karia remained not out at 39 to win the game for their team by five wickets.
