Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma stated that he is lucky to be playing cricket when many people are struggling to do their favorite activities. On Thursday, he spoke about the positives that a player could take while being in the bubble amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Mumbai Indians will play their first game against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, April 9.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians are once again the team to beat. The Mumbai-based franchise has retained its core team ahead of the mini-auction this year. The side already has established stars that have rarely let them down. Players like Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan are heading into the season after finding success at the international circuit. The team management will have a lot of expectations from the duo in the 14th season.

If we have to adjust, we have to adjust: Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma recalled the times spent inside a bubble in the UAE during last year's IPL. He also shared memories from Team India's last visit down under. The MI captain disclosed how all the cricketers would get together and chill, having the opportunity to share a lot of things with each other. Entering the mega league as one of the favorites, Rohit's Mumbai Indians will complete a hat-trick of title feats if they win the IPL this year.

Mumbai Indians are the most successful IPL teams with five tournament wins, whereas RCB is still eyeing their maiden glory. MI have always been slow starters in the IPL. The side has not won their opening match of a season since 2013. On the other end, Virat Kohli-led RCB is looking to win their first IPL title and would hope to strike the perfect combination of the playing XI at the start of the tournament. The battle between Team India's captain and vice-captain would be an exciting one. In the MI dugout, South African wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock might not play in the first game due to quarantine rules. The batsman has returned midway from South Africa's ODIs against Pakistan. But keeping in mind that they are the five-time champions, Mumbai Indians can be said to have the upper hand, though not a whole lot.
