In the ongoing game between Delhi and Mumbai, Tim Siefert took a blinder of a catch to dismiss Kieron Pollard. Pollard came into bat when the scorecard read 117/3 with the team losing the wicket of debutant Tilak Varma (22). The right-hander has a reputation of hitting big sixes and changing the course of the game in the slog overs. However, the vice-captain of the five-time winners was struggling at the crease.
After struggling against Khaleel Ahmed and Kuldeep Yadav in the 15th and 16th over of the innings respectively, the Trinidadian tried to break his shackles against the latter. He tried to pull a length ball on the fifth ball of the 16th over. The 34-year-old tried to clear the square leg fielder, Siefert, who was inside the circle. However, the Kiwi didn't let the ball go and pulled off a stunning catch on the edge of the 30-yard circle. Post his dimissal fans started trolling Pollard for only performing against Chennai.

Meanwhile, the Rishabh Pant-led Delhi won the toss and invited the Mumbai to bat first. The former winners amassed 177/5, thanks to Ishan Kishan (81* off 48 balls) with 11 fours and two sixes. Skipper Sharma chipped in with 42 runs. Kishan has already started to justify his humongous price tag.
He is the costliest player of the current season as the left-hander was bough back by Mumbai for 15.25 crores INR during the mega auction last month. For Delhi, Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets in his first game for the franchise while Khaleel Ahmed took two. Shardul Thakur, Axar Patel, and Kamlesh Nagarkoti proved costly as they bowled at an economy rate of more than 10 runs each.
