Predicting five youngsters who can become the face of Indian T20 League

The Indian T20 League brings a great opportunity for next-generation players to showcase their talent in front of the world. Every year a bunch of young players emerge from the tournament and go on to become the representatives of the tournamnet. There are numerous players in the current season that have the potential to become tournament greats. Here are the top five players who can become the face of the Indian T20 League.

Tilak Varma- Mumbai

Tilka Varma has been a fantastic addition to the Mumbai team this season. Despite the team's poor performance, the 19-year-old has had a fantastic year. He has scored 307 runs at an average of 43.86 in nine matches this season. Varma would like to continue his form for the men in blue and gold. Good performance for five time champions will fetch him a lot if limelight.

Umran Malik- Hyderabad

Umran Malik has been the talk of the town in the 15th edition of the Indian T20 League. He has impressed everyone with his exceptional pace. Malik has been able to constantly produce speeds of 150 kmph. This has always put the batters under a great deal of stress. He also has the mentorship of Dale Steyn in the Hyderabad camp, which has helped him a lot. Malik has claimed 15 wickets in 10 matches this season, including a four-wicket haul and a five-wicket haul.

Dewald Brevis- Mumbai

Dewald Brevis, a 19-year-old South African, had already generated a lot of buzz ahead of the Indian T20 League 2022. During the U-19 World Cup, his unconventional playing style earned him the nicknames 'AB 2.0' and 'Baby AB.' Playing for the Mumbai team in the middle order, he lived up to the hype. Brevis has scored 124 runs in the six matches that he has played. He also has an impressive strike rate of 155. However, he would have to learn the art of playing big knocks.

Abhishek Sharma- Hyderabad

Abhishek Sharma has been named Hyderabad's regular opener for the current season. He has taken on the job of forging partnerships, which has benefited the orange army. He has played 10 games in the season and has scored 331 runs at an average of 33. Sharma also has a decent strike rate of 134 this season. He also is the Hyderabad team's current highest run-scorer. The 21-year old would want to continue his good form in the upcoming games .

Kartik Tyagi- Hyderabad

Kartik Tyagi has only played one game this season but he has previously wowed everyone with his ability as a quick bowler. Tyagi has 13 wickets in 15 games in the Indian T20 League. His performance in the tournament also earned him the call up as the net bowler for India when they toured Australia in 2020-21. The 21-year would be eager to get more chances for the Hyderabad team this season.
