On 3 January 2023, team India will begin their cricketing action at home against Sri Lanka. First, they will play a three-match T20I series and then, a three-match ODI series. So, all eyes were on the Indian Cricket Board as they were going to announce the squads for both series. Meanwhile, on 27 December, they announced both squads.

Big-name players took a rest from the T20I series. But, they will be back in action again in the ODI series. However, there were some names who missed the cut again in the squads. Among them, Prithvi Shaw is one of the most significant names. Currently, he is busy playing in the Ranji Trophy for Mumbai. Now, after the squad announcement, Shaw shared an emotional story on his Instagram account, that has now gone viral.

Prithvi Shaw had a decent form with the bat for Mumbai in the white-ball format of the domestic circuit

Speaking of that shared story, Shaw shared two posts. One of those was poetry while the other was the wise words of Gaur Gopal Das. In the said video Gaur Gopal Das Prabhu was seen saying these things: “If someone is smiling it doesn’t mean they are happy in their life. Happiness is never automatic, Problems are automatic.”

“One chooses Positivity, love, and Happiness. Anger, hate, and Negativity come automatically inside human beings. To choose such things (Love, positivity), hence we have become human.” Seeing that story, fans seemed that the Mumbai batter was not happy with another exclusion from team India.

Speaking of Prithvi Shaw, he had decent form with the bat in the domestic season for his state team. Especially, in the white-ball formats, he has shown a good run with the bat. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he scored 332 runs in 10 innings, at an average of 36.88 with a strike rate of 181.42. He was instrumental in Mumbai’s trophy-winning journey. In the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he scored 217 runs in seven innings, at an average of 31 with a strike rate of 105.33. But, currently, Prithvi Shaw failed to have a good start to the Ranji Trophy season. He has scored 42 runs in four innings, at an average of 10.50.
