The dates of the Pro Kabaddi auction have been announced by the league on their official website. The event will take place on August 6th and 7th in Mumbai. The players will be divided into four categories i.e A, B, C, and D. These players will be local, overseas, and new players. The players will be further sub-divided as ‘All-Rounders’, ‘Defenders’, and ‘Raiders’ within each category.
Base prices of each category are Category A – INR 30 Lakhs, Category B – INR 20 Lakhs, Category C – INR 10 Lakhs, and Category D – INR 6 Lakhs. Every franchise will have a purse of INR 4.4 crores. Around 500 players will go under the hammer which includes the 24 players from the top 2 teams of the Khelo India University Games 2021, Bangalore.
Meanwhile, the head of Adani Sportsline, owners of Gujarat Giants said that he is happy to hear the news of player auctions. He believes that the players are eagerly waiting to step on the mat for season nine and the organizers will conduct outstanding auctions.

After a successful season 8, all the players are eagerly waiting to step on the mat once again and I am sure that Mashal Sports will definitely organize an outstanding Player Auctions. On the other hand, the CEO of the U Mumba team said that the auction is a celebration of Kabaddi players across the globe.
