The seventh edition of the PSL is all set to kick start today, with the defending champions Multan Sultans taking on the Karachi Kings. Two of the top teams of the tournament are sure to put a great display of the game. With Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam- who has been Pakistan's best batting pair- in the opposite teams, the competition is expected to be very intense. Azam and Rizwan have been the best batters for the international team, and they can continue that here as well. Rizwan was Multan Sultans' best performer last season and helped them to a phenomenal season. Azam, on the other hand, was good too.

Apart from these two; Shahnawaz Dhani, Shaan Masood, Sharjeel Khan, and Joe Clark from the last season will have good expectations on their back. The last edition was a tough one for everyone involved due to the Covid-19 stoppage mid-way. Strict protocols are being followed to avoid any such situation this year.

Pitch Report

The pitch at the National Stadium is a good wicket to bat on as the score here ranges from 150-170 in a T20 game. However, there might be some turn in it as it is an Asian wicket. The team winning the toss would like to bowl first on this wicket to take advantage (if any) of the turn available. Apart from that, chasing a total has become the go-to option in a T20 game.
