The Pushpa trend has swept the internet in the last month or so. Cricketers have been all in to have some fun on social media and join the trend. Srivalli, the song from Allu Arjun's recent film Pushpa: The Rise, has featured a number of international stars such as Hardik Pandya, Suresh Raina, David Warner, and many others.

The latest to join in is Indian leg-spinner Rahul Chahar. In an Instagram post, he is seen doing the hook step of the Srivalli song. "Just being a fanboy @alluarjunonline." reads the caption. His new team in the Indian T20 League, Punjab also posted the same video on their Instagram handle. "Rahul Chahar moving Up North be like…" read the caption.

Here is the video:

The post, however, did not go as the leggie would have expected. Fans made sure they let him know that he did not remind them of Allu Arjun from the movie but looked like other actors from across the world. While some opined, he resembled Salman Khan, Marvel fans linked him to – Bucky Barnes – the character played by actor Sebastian Stan. Some users said that Rahul reminded them of a young Johnny Depp.

The 22-year old suffered from an injury after the 20-20 World Cup concluded last year. He has not been able to make a comeback for the Indian team ever since. More recently, he was sold to Punjab in the Indian T20 League mega auction after having played for Mumbai since 2018. The ITL is rumored to begin in the last week of March.
