About his recent form on Star Sports, the former India cricketer, Gautam Gambhir said: “I think we should talk to him in the same space like we used to when Virat didn’t get a 100 in last three and a half years. We should be equally hard on Rohit because 50 innings in international cricket are quite a lot.” He further added: “It’s not that you didn’t get a 100 in one or two series, and that is one thing that is missing in Rohit’s game from the last World Cup.”
“This time he’s looking in good form, he’s hitting the ball well, but he has to convert. Virat has got it (form) back and Rohit needs to get it back at least before the World Cup because these two guys will be extremely important if India has to go all the way and win the World Cup,” Gambhir concluded. However, both Rohit Sharma and Tom Latham came out for the toss and the Indian skipper won the toss. But, the hilarious moment happened when Rohit Sharm forgot what to do. He waited around 10-15 seconds and finally said that they would bowl first. Other players and fans went crazy over his brain fade moment.
