Yuzvendra Chahal has recently revealed the harsh treatment he faced when he was a part of the Mumbai team in 2013. In a video released by Rajasthan's official Twitter handle, he revealed that he was hung from the 15th story balcony by a drunk cricketer during the 2013 edition of the Indian T20 League. Though, he did not reveal the identity of the player who did it.

Post the revelation, he has received a lot of support from cricketers and they have asked BCCI to look into the matter. The latest to join the conversation is Ravi Shastri. He stated that the horrific incident should not be taken on a lighter note and that there should be a life ban on that player.

Speaking to ESPNcricinfo's 'T20 Time Out,' he said, "No laughing matter at all. I do not know who the person involved is, he was not in a conscious state of mind. If that is the case, then it is a big worry. Someone’s life is at risk, some people might think it is funny but for me, it is not funny at all."

Adding to it he said, "It is the first time I am hearing such a drastic thing like this. It is not funny at all. If such an incident happens today, a life ban for that person involved and send that person to a rehab centre as quickly as possible. Life ban, better not come near to a cricket field then he will realise how funny is it or not funny."

The former Indian coach also mentioned that the players should inform the authorities about the same, if a similar incident happens in the future. "Just like you are told by the Anti-Corruption Unit when there is an approach made by someone or the other when it comes to fixing, it is your job to approach the authorities to let them know," he said.
