One of the most economical purchases of the ITL mega auction was Ravichandran Ashwin being sold to Rajasthan. They got him for an absolute steal of 5 crores in the early stages of the auction. Ashwin, not just brings a quailty off-spinner to the table, but also a very tactical cricketing brain.
Ashwin met the franchise's captain Sanju Samson and its Chief Operating Officer Jake Lush McCrum three days after his selection. They presented him with team merchandise during their meeting. As an official member of the squad, this was his first interaction with them.
While having a look at all the goods, he said that the biggest positive of playing for Rajasthan was the team jersey color as his daughters love the pink color. "My daughters actually love pink. So the biggest plus of me playing for RR would be the pink dress. They'll be all over it," Ash said in a video posted by Rajasthan.
"Ravi Ashwin in Pink: The unboxing begins." the caption of the Instagram post read.

The off-spinner previously played for the Delhi team, where he achieved good success. Rajasthan has formed a decent bowling unit in the auction as they also got their hands on Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult. They also purchased Devdutt Padikkal, Prasiddh Krishna, and Navdeep Saini among other players.
Interestingly, Jos Buttler is also a part of the team against who Ashwin had the famous run-out incident a few years ago. "Most importantly looking forward to sharing dressing room with Jos, how good is that going to be?" he said in another video posted by Rajasthan.
