All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is fully confident after India's win against Australia in the Boxing Day Test at Melbourne. The southpaw was gratified to see the Indian side fire in unison. He also stated that he is optimistic that the team can seal the four-test series in Sydney.

Ravindra Jadeja had returned to the Test team after successfully recovering from an injury. The bowling all-rounder played his 50th Test match for the Indian cricket team in Melbourne.

Even though Jadeja got to bowl only 33 deliveries in the first innings, he managed to pick up Pat Cummins' wicket. He also helped Ajinkya Rahane to perfection with a 159-ball knock of 57 runs.

On the other hand, the 32-year-old also picked up two crucial wickets in the second innings. BCCI recently shared a video clip on their official website titled Post win shenanigans. In that video clip, Ravindra Jadeja spoke about the team's stunning comeback and their plans for the next games.

The Indian cricket team were without captain Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, and Rohit Sharma in the second Test. No one expected that Team India would dominate Australia the way they did at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane received dozens of praises from the fans and the cricket fraternity after the great victory.

Ravindra Jadeja explains how this win was crucial for the Indian cricket team

Ravindra Jadeja highlighted why the Boxing Day Test win was a massive achievement for the Indian cricket team. He claimed that as the side lost the first match badly, it was necessary to come back stronger. He believes that the entire team played with good spirit and attitude.

Earlier, team India had concluded Australia's second innings for 200 in the extended opening session on Tuesday morning. The hosts had begun the session at 133 for six and could only manage to set a target of 70 runs.

India's Debutant pacer Mohammed Siraj took three wickets whereas Jasprit Bumrah grabbed two wickets. On the other hand, spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets each.

After the win, the stand-in captain praised his team, especially the two debutants. Gill and Siraj showed some tremendous skills with both the bat and ball. Third India vs Australia Test match will be played at Sydney Cricket Ground, starting on January 7, 2021.
