After the last edition of that tournament, there are several rumours that Chennai might release the Indian all-rounder during the mini-auction. Now, reports are suggesting that Jadeja has not been responding to any messages or calls from the franchise in recent months.

Now, the franchise might look to talk with him for the last time in the upcoming five to six days. But, still, if he does not respond, then Chennai might look to release him for the mini-auction in December 2022. Speaking of Ravindra Jadeja, he was the captain for Chennai in the Indian T20 League 2022. But, he failed miserably as the leader as the captaincy batton went back to MS Dhoni.
He also suffered an injury which made him unavailable for most of the tournament. Since the completion of that season, rumours were there that Ravindra Jadeja will look to leave the franchise in the next season. In recent months, he deleted some posts and tweets related to Chennai. Such actions ignited sparks of his decision to leave the franchise ahead of the next season. After the Edgbaston Test match, Journalists asked Jadeja about this rumoured rift with Chennai.
Speaking at the conference, Jadeja said: "What happened, happened. Indian T20 League was not on my mind. Whenever you are playing for India, your entire focus needs to be on the Indian team. It was the same for me, there is no better satisfaction than performing well for India.” Meanwhile, speaking to ANI, a Chennai official said that Jadeja’s social media activities were completely his own call. “See, this is a personal call by him. We are not aware of such kinds of incidents from our side. All OK. Nothing is wrong.”
