Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja left his fans confused as he posted a cryptic Tweet right after India won the second ODI against Sri Lanka by four wickets at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Jadeja has been away from cricket since September after suffering a knee injury during Asia Cup 2022.
"Don’t say anything. Just smile," Jadeja wrote on Twitter. The star all-rounder underwent a surgery in September and missed India's 2022 20-20 World Cup campaign. His absence was a big miss for the team as it was difficult for the team to replicate the all-round balance he provides.

The Indian Cricket Board hasn’t given an update on Jadeja’s injury and there has been no clarification on his return date. The 34-year-old was picked in India's ODI and Test squads for the tour of Bangladesh in December but he was ultimately declared not fit to play either format.
The all-rounder was further not picked in the ODI and T20I squads for the ongoing series against Sri Lanka. There is no confirmation on whether he will make the squad for the upcoming white-ball series at home against New Zealand.
Jadeja's continued absence will come as a source of major worry for Team India ahead of the Border Gavaskar Test series against Australia. The Saurashtra all-rounder is an invaluable member of India's red-ball team with his bowling and batting both extremely important for the team. His batting has also improved drastically in the last few years as he entered the record books last year when he scored an unbeaten 175 and picked up 9 wickets during the first Test against Sri Lanka in Mohali.
Jadeja was the highest wicket-taker in Border Gavaskar Trophy 2017
He became only the sixth cricketer ever to 150+ and pick a five-wicket haul in the same Test. Jadeja was the highest wicket-taker during the last Border Gavaskar Trophy played in India in 2017 where he picked 25 wickets at an average of 18.56.
Meanwhile, Jadeja will continue playing for the Chennai franchise in the 2023 Indian T20 League despite last year's captaincy saga. Despite rumours of him wanting to leave the franchise, Jadeja was retained by Chennai ahead of the 2023 auction. Jadeja has been part of the Chennai camp since 2012.
