Ravindra Jadeja's hilarious reply to a journalist question's on 20-20 World Cup participation goes viral

Ravindra Jadeja played a pivotal role with the bat and ball in India's win against arch-rivals Pakistan on August 28. He was promoted to number four during the game to disturb the opposition's plans. The left-hander played as second fiddle along with Hardik Pandya and scored 35 runs off 29 balls. The all-rounder got out on the first ball of the last over but he did his job to perfection.

After the game, the 2013 Champions Trophy winner was asked about his place in the team for the 20-20 World Cup. Apparently, there are rumors surrounding Jadeja that he might not be part of the showpiece event. In reply, the 33-year-old, however, dismissed that after revealing that he, earlier, heard a rumor that he had died.

"Aap ne toh bohot choti baat kahi ki main nahi hu World Cup mein. Beech mein toh khabar aayi thi ki main marr gaya hu. Toh issey badi khabar toh ho hi nahi sakti. (You said a minimal thing that I'm not in World Cup. Earlier, I had heard that I had died. There can't be a bigger rumour than that). So yes, I don't think much about it. My thing is simple - heading to the ground, play well and that's all."

The Saurashtra player added that success of a cricketer depends on practicing in the nets and working on the areas of improvement.

"As far as success goes, it's all about practicing in the nets, work on areas that need improvement and that is what works in the match. Day in, day out, the drill is same - bowling, batting and fielding," he added.

Talking about India, they will play their last game of the Group stage against Hong Kong on August 31 in Dubai. The Men In Blue are almost assured of their place in the Super Four round.
