"Retire from T20Is" - Twitter trolls KL Rahul after he shares some pictures from his off time after Asia Cup 2022

Indian opener KL Rahul had a forgettable time in the Asia Cup 2022. Rahul could only manage to score a fifty in the last match of the tournament against Afghanistan. He has not been at his best ever since his return to the Indian team in the recent Zimbabwe Tour.

Rahul’s dismal performance with the bat has attracted a lot of trolling on social media these days. The 30-year-old shared two pictures with his fans on Twitter on Saturday. In the photo, Rahul could be seen using the Macbook Air. However, as soon as fans saw Rahul’s picture, they began bashing him for his poor show with the bat in the Asia Cup 2022. Some fans asked him to retire from T20Is while some said that the laptop is faster than his batting in T20Is.

The star batter is enjoying some time off the game after India’s early exit from the Asia Cup. He even captained the Indian team in their last game of the tournament against Afghanistan which they won by 101 runs.

The opener was out of action since the conclusion of the Indian T20 League in May. He was set to lead the Indian team in the T20I series against South Africa but an injury kept him out of the team for three months. He finally returned to the team for the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. Since his return to international cricket, Rahul has looked like a pale shadow of his former self as he has only one half-century to his name in seven innings.

Apart from his performance on the field, the Indian vice-captain has also been making headlines for his expected wedding with actor Athiya Shetty. As per reports, the duo is expected to tie the knots by the end of this year. Athiya’s father actor, Suniel Shetty has also confirmed their marriage plans.
