The problems with the Hyderabad team management never seem stop. After sacking David Warner as the team captain, they took him out of the playing XI last year for which they were severely criticized. Amidst the questions over the work culture of the Hyderabad management, Trevor Bayliss and Brad Haddin also quit their positions from the support staff. And now, Simon Katich, who was appointed as the assistant coach along with Tom Moddy as the head coach, has also quit his position.

It has been learned that the decision came after Katich disagreed on how the team was being managed. He also said that the pre-auction plans were not executed in the two-day event in Bangalore.

Hyderabad has its squad ready, but it does not look the best. They have many gaps in their team and they overpaid for some of the players which are not in the best form for a while. They lack a prominent opener and the team looks slightly vulnerable. Hyderabad also has many players with little experience, which can be a trouble in a tournament like this.

Meanwhile, Muttiah Muralitharan- Hyderabad's bowling coach- has confirmed that Kane Williamson and Abhishek Sharma will open the innings for the team. He said that young players like Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad, and Priyam Garg will be the face of the team in the future.
