On 10 December, India locked horns with Bangladesh in Chattogram for the third and last match of the ongoing ODI series. However, the home side already bagged the series by winning the first two matches. So, they had a chance to clean sweep the Men in Blue while it was another tough test that was waiting for Rohit Sharma and Co.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma got an injury on his thumb during the second ODI. Thus, he missed this last match of the series. Therefore, the team management considered Ishan Kishan into playing XI to replace him. In the last two matches, Indian batters looked absolutely clueless. Virat Kohli was in great form in the 20-20 World Cup.

Virat Kohli scored 100* off 85 balls in the third ODI against Bangladesh

But, he failed to dominate in this series with the bat. In the first two matches, Kohli scored only 14 runs. So, fans were worried to see him in such a dismal form in ODIs. However, fans were still keeping an eye on the star batter to do well in this last match. Speaking of the match, KL Rahul was the captain in absence of Rohit Sharma. Litton Das won the toss and asked the Men in Blue to bat first. For India, Ishan Kishan and Shikhar Dhawan came out to open the innings. But, Shikhar Dhawan’s poor form with the bat continued as he got out for three runs off eight balls.

After that, Virat Kohli and Ishan Kishan stitched a solid partnership of 290 runs. Ishan Kishan scored 210 runs off 131 balls, including 24 fours and 10 sixes. He batted at a strike rate of 160.30. Throughout that partnership, Virat played the role of the second fiddle as he scored his fifty off 54 balls, including four boundaries. But, he continued his shots as Virat Kohli scored 100* runs off 85 balls. It was the 72nd international century in his illustrative career.
