After defeating Australia and South Africa in the home T20I series respectively, they are now looking to do well in the mega event. Speaking of the squad, several questions were there regarding the place of Rishabh Pant. In the shortest format of the game, Pant has failed to deliver performances like other formats.

Hence, there were reports that selectors might consider Sanju Samson and Dinesh Karthik for the World Cup. But, India showed faith in Rishabh Pant and Karthik for the upcoming event. However, in recent months, Rishabh Pant was in the headlines, courtesy of the Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela. It all started with an interview by Urvashi where she opened up about her experience with the wicketkeeper.

After that viral interview, both shared some stories and posts on their social media platforms. Finally, Rishabh Pant decided to stop that to focus on his career. After that, a video went viral where people saw Urvashi Rautela saying sorry to the Indian wicketkeeper. But, she dismissed the whole incident as Urvashi shared a story on her Instagram account.

Urvashi said that she apologized to her fans and loved ones as she had nothing to say. She wrote: “These days official news articles and so-called memes pages (worst marketers) are more scripted than movies or a tv show !!! That sorry was for my fans & loved ones that I had nothing to say…. #WhyTheNewIsNotTheTruth #falsemisleadinglight #greatscript #FactsAreNotCopyrightable.” Now, on 9 October 2022, the Bollywood actress shared some of her pictures on a flight en route to Australia. She even posted the pictures with a cryptic caption. It says: “followed my (heart emoji), and it led me to Australia”. Seeing that post, fans went crazy as they started to share their views on social media platforms. Some of them started to request the actress to let Rishbh go and give him space to focus on the mega event.
