Dinesh Karthik praised fellow stumper Rishabh Pant and stated that the youngster will have a long and successful career for India. Karthik credited the 23-year-old for his exploits with the bat in all the formats of the game in the last few months. Rishabh Pant has been in excellent form with the bat, and he will be crucial for Team India in the forthcoming Test assignments in England. The left-handed batsman has become India's first-choice wicketkeeper in limited-overs and the purest format of the game.

A year back, Rishabh Pant was not able to find a spot in the Indian cricket team until the 2nd Test against Australia in Melbourne. The southpaw was included in the playing XI as a replacement of Wriddhiman Saha after India lost the first Test in Adelaide. Pant turned out to be the match-winner for the visitors Down Under. He smashed 97 runs and helped change the momentum in India's favor in the drawn Sydney Test. After that, Pant's heroic 89 not out helped India win the 4th Test at Gabba.

India will now look to end their ICC title drought at the World Test Championship final. It will commence on June 18 in Southampton.

After the last two-Test series against Australia and England, the southpaw has become the talk of the town. He undoubtedly teams India's trump card in the onrushing ICC World Test Championship Final (WTC) against New Zealand and the five-match Test series against England. While speaking with Sports Today, Dinesh Karthik lauded the current wicketkeeper's rise in international cricket. The Tamil Nadu batsman also stated that Rishabh Pant would indeed play 100 Tests for India. The 36-year-old signed off by saying that Pant has the ability to score runs in crunch situations too. Additionally, he always finds a way to help the Indian team win games. Karthik also felt the 23-year-old is very good at handling crucial moments and remains calm and composed at the crease.
