Rishabh Pant to get discharged in 2 weeks followed by Rehabilitation - Reports

According to recent reports, Rishabh Pant is going to get discharged from the hospital in the upcoming two weeks followed by rehabilitation

Rishabh Pant surprised global cricket fans when he met with a horrible road accident on the Delhi Dehradun highway on 30 December 2022. After that, people rescued him and sent him to a private hospital in Dehradun. After that, on 4 January, he was flown to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital.

Currently, he has already gone through three successful surgeries. On 16 January, Pant also shared updates and thanked his saviours, fans, and the Indian Cricket Board for their support and good wishes. Now, reports have come out that he is most likely to get released from the hospital in two weeks. Even, his rehabilitation might begin after two months.

As said in the Times of India report, a source close to the Indian Cricket Board said: “All the ligaments were injured. The posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) is a cause of concern. The doctors said that MCL surgery was absolutely necessary. Now his PCL will be assessed in two weeks. Hopefully, it will not need any further surgery. As of now, he essentially has undergone just one major surgery."

The source also added that two more months are required to assess the return of Rishabh Pant into the game.“The ligaments usually heal in four to six weeks. After that rehab and strengthening will begin. His return to play will be assessed in another two months. He will have to undergo counseling sessions too, it could be four to six months before he can start playing," the report stated further.

Speaking of Rishabh Pant, shared an image of Spider-Man on his Instagram story with a caption: “thankful, grateful and blessed.” The Indian wicketkeeper also shared some tweets on Twitter to thank fans and teammates. He wrote: “I am humbled and grateful for all the support and good wishes. I am glad to let you know that my surgery was a success. The road to recovery has begun and I am ready for the challenges ahead. Thank you to the Indian Cricket Board, @JayShah & government authorities for their incredible support.”
