The second edition of the Road Safety World Series has gained a lot of attention as it has brought back many legends of the game back on the field. In the 12th match of the tournament, India Legends will take on the New Zealand Legends. The match will take place on September 19th at Indore's Holkar Stadium. After two matches, India Legends are in third place with three points. The New Zealand Legends, on the other hand, are fifth in the standings after two games, with two points.

Team Updates

India Legends

The team led by Sachin Tendulkar had a great start to the tournament with a win over South Africa Legends. However, their next game against the West Indies Legends was cancelled due to a wet outfield. After the washout game, they would try to get the best results and score some points.

Probable Playing XI: Sachin Tendulkar (c), Naman Ojha (wk), Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Subramanium Badrinath,  Vinay Kumar, Abhimanyu Mithun, Manpreet Gony, Munaf Patel, Rahul Sharma, Pragyan Ojha

New Zealand Legends

The League Debutants got off to a shaky start in the tournament. The Ross Taylor-led team was reduced to 99 runs against South Africa. They made a comeback, however, and destroyed Bangladesh Legends in their next match. The team will look to keep their winning momentum going against the defending champions.

Probable Playing XIs: Jamie How, Anton Devcich, Dean Brownlie, Ross Taylor (c), Gareth Hopkins (wk), Scott Styris, Neil Broom, Kyle Mills, Hamish Bennett, Jason Spice, James Franklin

Players to watch out for: Kyle Mills, Ross Taylor, Scott Styris

Pitch Report

Holkar Stadium has already hosted two matches in the RSWS 2022. The sticky nature of the wicket has made it unsuitable for batting. The ball does not come onto the bat very well at first, but as the batters spend more time in the middle, it becomes easier. The team winning the toss must bowl in order to pace their innings as per the target.
