In the 17th match of the Hundred, Trent Rockets registered a comprehensive 25-run win over Oval Invincibles. With this win, the Rockets took their tally to four wins this season. They are currently in the second position after five games. On the other hand, the Invincibles are in fourth place with three wins in five games.
After winning the toss, the Invincibles decided to field first. With the bat, Alex Hales and Dawid Malan got off to a fast start. Hales, in particular, was at the top of his game as he added twenty runs—two sixes and two fours—off of Sam Curran's over.
The duo added 84 runs in the opening partnership, which perfectly set the tone for the match. Hales (59 runs in 29 balls) was the first to depart. Malan (38) continued to do well as he stayed for a little longer. With some cameos from Colin Munro (23) and Lewis Gregory (24), the Rockets managed 181 runs on the board.
The Invincibles did not get off to the start they had hoped for when chasing a massive total. They consistently lost wickets, which kept them from having a chance to win the game. Despite their best efforts, Curran (27), and Jason Roy (20) were unable to boost the Invincibles' innings.
The chase's top scorer was Jordan Cox, who scored 61 runs in 33 balls. His efforts, however, were in vain because he did not receive much help from his teammates. In the end, Oval Invincibles were restricted to 156/5 in their 100 balls, allowing the Rocket to register a comprehensive 25-run win.
For the Rockets, with the ball, Tabraiz Shamsi was the pick with his spell of 21/2 in his 20 balls. On the other hand, Luke Wood, Sam Cook, and Samit Patel took one wicket each. The winners from this match will play the table toppers, London Spirit, in their next encounter. Oval Invincibles, on the other hand, will play against the Birmingham Phoenix.

This Trent Rockets team is really frustrating; it is difficult to know where it goes so wrong. There s a fantastic coach, a quality captain who leads by example. Yet their batting game plan seems to be consistently the wrong one with the bat. 1/2
