Star Pakistan all-rounder and vice-captain, Shadab Khan has come up with a recent statement, in which he spoke about his favourite players in Team India. Notably, Shadab Khan, alongside the rest of the Pakistan cricket team, received a grand reception when they landed in Hyderabad to take part in the ODI World Cup 2023, in India.

Following that, Pakistan also played a warm-up game against New Zealand on Friday, September 29 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. However, they lost the match to New Zealand by 5 wickets but the batting was one of the prime positives for them ahead of the main round of the tournament.

"It’s difficult to bowl to him once he gets set." - Shadab Khan on Rohit Sharma

Meanwhile, Shadab Khan, in a press conference and an interaction with the journalists after landing in India, spoke in detail about the team’s preparations and every aspect of the World Cup. Amidst all this, he also named his two favourite Indian players, both in bowling and batting, which also attracted the eyeballs of cricket fans both in India and Pakistan as well.

“I admire Rohit Sharma a lot and I think among the batsmen in the world, it’s difficult to bowl to him once he gets set and becomes very dangerous. Among the bowlers, being a leg-spinner, it’s Kuldeep Yadav,” said Shadab Khan during the press conference.

Apart from that, the 24-year-old also mentioned his struggle with the form in the recent couple of weeks, including a miserable run in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2023. The tournament was also a forgettable outing for the entire Pakistan cricket team.

“I do understand that my recent form is not good, but I have the skills. Just that when you are not performing, you are mentally a bit down, but skill-wise, there is no issue. From the mental aspect, things have changed after I got the rest, and hopefully, we will give a good performance in the upcoming World Cup,” he said.
