Mohammad Haris, who recently guided Pakistan A to victory in the Emerging Asia Cup 2023, has made a comment that would not sit well with Indian players and spectators. Haris' outstanding performance in the final against India A helped Pakistan A win the championship. The Emerging Asia Cup final between India A and Pakistan A drew fans from all around the world.

While the Indian team was the favoured going into the title match, the Pakistani team won by 128 runs. However, analysts said that the match was more of a battle between Pakistan's "senior players" and India's "young brigade." Pakistan featured numerous international cricketers on their team, including their captain Haris. Other cricketers with limited international experience were Mohammad Wasim Jr, Shahnawaz Dahani, and Saim Ayub.

Mohammad Haris said, "(Jis tarah log keh rahe hai ki woh bade leke aaye the, ham chote bachey the toh hamne toh nahi kaha tha ki aap chotey bache leke aao. Ye kehte hai ki aapka international experience tha. International experience kitna hai. Saim ke 5 matche hai, mere 6 match hai. Saare T20 hai. Inke team pe IPL ke 260 matches ka experience hai). People are saying that Pakistan sent a team with many seniors. We did not ask them to send little kids to the tournament. They say that we had international experience in our team. How much international matches have we played but? Saim has played 5, I have played 6. Those guys (India players) have played 260 IPL matches."

Haris even claimed that the Pakistan team did not request that junior players be sent to the competition. Also, in the event, India A defeated Pakistan A by an eight-wicket margin. However, the Indians were unable to replicate their success in the final. Until the final, India A had not lost a single game. They were defeated by Pakistan A in the final by a wide score of 128 runs. Pakistan A scored 352 for 8 in 50 overs, whereas India A was bowled out for 224 in 40 overs.
