Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Liam Livingstone has opted out of the Indian Premier League due to bubble fatigue. The English cricketer has headed back home. Livingstone was acquired by the Royals in the 2021 auction for his base price of Rs 75 lakhs. The 27-year-old did not feature in any of the three games Rajasthan played in IPL 202. After the departure of star all-rounder Ben Stokes, Livingstone had the chances of replacing his teammate in the playing XI. However, the right-handed batsman opted to withdraw from the tournament and head back home. The 27-year old was also a part of the Rajasthan Royals in 2019. He has opened the innings for them on multiple occasions. Livingstone managed to score 70 runs in four matches, maintaining a healthy strike rate of 145.83.

Rajasthan Royals are currently placed seventh on the points table with just 2 wins

Liam Livingstone impressed everyone in the Big Bash League 2020. The batsman played for the Perth Scorchers in the 2020-21 edition of the Big Bash League. He scored 426 runs in 14 matches which also included three fifties. Livingstone also played a brilliant knock in the third ODI against India in Pune. However, England ended up losing that match.

Talking about Rajasthan Royals, their last game was against the defending champions Mumbai Indians. The Sanju Samson-led side lost the match by seven wickets. Rajasthan Royals needs to sort their middle-order woes before coming up in their remaining games of the season. Samson has so far displayed good form and has also uplifted his team on various occasions. The wicket-keeper batsman played a subtle knock of 42 runs off 27 balls in their last game against MI, but unfortunately, they lost that game. Rajasthan Royals are currently placed seventh on the points table with just 2 wins so far.
