The final of the second edition of the Legends League Cricket saw India Capitals take on Bhilwara Kings. The Capitals had a slow start, but they came back to dominate the game and lift the trophy. They snatched a convincing 104-run victory over the Kings to lift their maiden title in the tournament.

Bhilwara Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first at the Β Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Batting first, India Capitals got off to the worst possible start, losing four wickets early on. The top four batters failed to reach double figures, and the team was reduced to 21/ in 4.3 overs.

However, Ross Taylor and Mitchell Johnson provided a crucial partnership which rebuilt their innings. They stepped on the pedal and increased the scoring rate, with each completing their half-centuries. They added a partnership of 126 runs, which set up the team to put on a huge target.

Johnson scored 62 runs in 35 balls, while Taylor, with 82 runs in 41 balls, was the star of the innings. In the end, Ashley Nurse finished the innings in perfect fashion. He scored 42 runs in 19 balls, helping the team to a total of 211/7 in the first inning. Rahul Sharma, with his four-wicket haul, was the pick of the bowlers.

India Capitals dominate their defence

Bhilwara Kings also got off to the worst possible start in the chase, and they were never able to recover. India Capitals took early wickets thanks to a complete bowling effort. The batting side lost their first three wickets within the powerplay, putting themselves under immense pressure.

In the innings, the Kings were looking for a good partnership but couldn't find one. Shane Watson (27) and Jesal Karia (22) tried to get some runs, but that was never enough for them. The team led by Gautam Gambhir kept taking wickets, eventually limiting the Kings to 107 runs. They won the match and the championship by a massive 104-run margin. Ross Taylor was named man of the match for his outstanding batting performance.
