All-rounder and Sachin Tendulkar's son, Arjun Tendulkar has made his debut in the ongoing game against Kolkata Knight Riders. The Jr. Tendulkar has been part of the team since the 2021 season. In the last two seasons, he didn't get to play a single game. Last year, it looked like the left-handed all-rounder might play after the team had lost their first eight games.

However, that didn't happen and the likes of Hrithik Shokeen, Kumar Kartikeya, etc played for the team. Meanwhile, in the team's fourth game of the ongoing IPL 2023, the Goa player has finally gotten the opportunity to play. He was handed the debut cap by team skipper Rohit Sharma, who is currently named in the impact subs. Apparently, the latter has sustained a stomach bug.

In his place, Suryakumar Yadav is leading the side and has decided to put KKR in on a hot day. At the time of writing, Arjun has bowled two overs and has been bashed for 17 runs. He might have gotten a wicket off his second ball if not for the ball escaping Tim David's grasp. His first over went for five while in the second, he gave away 12 runs.

Talking about the game, Venkatesh Iyer has been playing the MI bowlers with ease. At the time of writing, he has scored 61 off 27 balls including five fours and as many sixes. On the other hand, the other batters such as Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Narayan Jagadeesan, and skipper Nitish Rana couldn't do much. At this stage, Shardul Thakur is batting with Iyer and the scorecard reads 90/3 in 10 overs.

Arjun Tendulkar possesses strong batting skills too

Meanwhile, the debutant, Tendulkar is also known for his batting. During the Ranji Trophy early this year, he smashed a century for Goa in his first-class debut. It will be interesting to how he fares for the five-time winners.
