The Mumbai Indians star Suryakumar Yadav finally returned to form on Tuesday against the Rajasthan Royals and gave a sparkling knock to his fans. Yadav scored an unbeaten fifty and helped MI to post 193 runs for 4 on the scoreboard in Abu Dhabi.
During the start of the IPL 2020 tournament, this right-handed batsman of MI did score some runs, but those are not noteworthy. In the opening match against the Chennai Super Kings, he managed to score only 17 runs. MI lost the match.
In the second game against his former side Kolkata Knight Riders, he scored 47 runs. His next three games’ knocks were 0, 10, and 27, a rather poor show of performance. Clearly, he was lacking his form during these matches. Finally, on Tuesday, he crossed his first half-century. The Mumbai star smashed 79 off just 47 balls, hitting a couple of sixes and 11 fours.
As anticipated, his knock was covered with shots all around the cricket field. Once again, he displayed his aptitude for playing a wide range of shots when he is in his form. And shortly after he ended his remarkable game, the cricketing community praised him to the fullest across social media.
Sachin Tendulkar wished Suryakumar Yadav
The batting legend of India, Sachin Tendulkar wished him and said Suryakumar Yadav is very ‘special and dangerous’. Plenty of other cricketers also heaped praise on the right-handed batsman. Former cricketers Ian Bishop and Lisa Sthalekar were impressed him as well and lauded him for his wonderful innings. Many others also revealed their surprise over Yadav still not being a part of the national team.
For quite some time now, Suryakumar Yadav has been a steady player in domestic cricket and he is still waiting for his first call-up in the national team. During the last season of both the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Yadav was in terrific form.
