Young Indian batter Prithvi Shaw recently got injured while playing for Northamptonshire in the ongoing one-day cup. He was enjoying a red-hot form with the bat in the tournament. Shaw had scored 429 runs in 4 matches he played before getting ruled out due to injury.

He scored these runs with an excellent average of 143, including a double century of 244 runs and an unbeaten century of 125 runs against Durham. Apart from that, he recently attracted eyeballs on social media for his latest Instagram story, uploading a picture of his injured leg with catchy text.

“People give hands when you step up in life, and always leave it when you go down from steps,” wrote the 23-year-old in his Instagram story.

Before playing for Northamptonshire in the one-day cup, Shaw also performed well in the Duleep Trophy 2023. He is struggling for a lot of time to secure his place on the national side of Team India.

He has not played much cricket for India since making his debut five years back in 2018. In his 5-year-long international career, the Mumbai batter has appeared only in 5 Tests, 6 ODIs, and a T20I for India. In these matches, he has scored 339 Test runs with an average of 42.37, including a century and two half-centuries, and 189 ODI runs averaging 31.50.
