The star Australian women’s wicketkeeper-batter Alyssa Healy is on the receiving end of trolling from a section of the Indian cricket fans; it all started when she started preaching about Indian women’s skipper Harmanpreet Kaur for that unfortunate run-out in the first semi-final of the ongoing Women’s 20-20 World Cup 2023.
“So, just a bizarre play. Harmanpreet can say all she likes is that it was so unlucky. At the end of the day, she cruised back and probably could’ve been passed the crease, an extra two meters if she genuinely put in the effort. So, we’ll take it,” said Healy to ABC Sport.
I actually don’t take the bails a lot in that sort of scenario - Alyssa Healy
“It’s kind of funny actually. Belinda Clarke messaged me and said, well done for taking the bails. And it’s quite an interesting one because I actually don’t take the bails a lot in that sort of scenario. I think it’s a waste of time and I’ve got to put them back on,” she added later.
Later on, the 32-year-old also talked about appealing after taking the bails off the stumps and her look at the umpire’s end.
“It’s kind of funny actually. Belinda Clarke messaged me and said, well done for taking the bails. And it’s quite an interesting one because I actually don’t take the bails a lot in that sort of scenario. I think it’s a waste of time and I’ve got to put them back on,” concluded the Queensland veteran.
Although these comments from the Aussie star didn’t really go down well with a section of the Indian cricket fans; they immediately took to Twitter to lash out at Healy for her remarks and also called her ‘arrogant’ for being preachy after a win in the semi-final against India.
Here’s how fans trolled Alyssa Healy for her statement:
Time time ki bat hai ek time par aisa same attitude Australia mens team bhi dikhati thi aur ajj dekhlo kya hal hai unka india ke samne koi na inka bhi time ayega

Harman was going to cruise in comfortably had the bat not got stuck...

Why does Alyssa keep making such statements and attract more flak...
Just stop being condescending for once...
Arrogance personified 🤮🤮

Healy, as always salty towards India and Indian cricketers. Would be lovely to see her change tune once she's in India for #WIPL2023

Lucky she plays for Aus. Other players guarantee you win even if you have performed average.

Same tone of early 2000s when Indian men's team received such comments 20 years later after getting bullied at home and away they start giving excuses .. They know India is really close and that's why they are afraid

Your captain just mocked Indian Women's Cricket Team captain. You really have the guts if you don't sack her down now.
Now, Meg Lanning’s Australia will lock horns with South Africa in the final of the eighth edition of the Women’s 20-20 World Cup. Both teams will play the title clash today at the Newlands in Cape Town.
