Sanju Samson unfollows Rajasthan's social media handle after getting irked by a meme on himself

The reason for this is the way Samson's image was edited and posted on Twitter. In the picture, the skipper of the team was sitting in the bus while he was being clicked by the social media handler of the side.

With a little more than 24 hours left for the start of the Indian T20 League, Rajasthan skipper Sanju Samson has unfollowed his team on Twitter. Samson was irked by a meme posted by the social media admin of Rajasthan's Twitter handle.

The admin used Snapchat filters and put a towel on his head and a pair of earrings on his ears. The uploader captioned the pic " kya khoob lagte ho" (how wonderful he looks). However, in response, the 27-year-old was clearly unhappy with the morphed image.

He tweeted saying that activities like these are ok between friends but not within a professional setup.

"It's ok for friends to do all this but teams should be professional @rajasthanroyals," wrote the right-hander.

Rajasthan Royals deleted the tweet after Sanju’s response.

The tweet was deleted after the Kerala player's response. However, the controversy didn't just end here. The 121 ITL-player went on to unfollow the team's official account on Twitter.

Rajasthan's Twitter is one of the most mischievous ones among all teams as the admin continuously keeps having fun with other players and teams. However, the players take it sportingly.

Meanwhile, the team will open their campaign against 2016 winners Hyderabad. The Men In Pink and Blue will look to improve from their last year's performance. They finished seventh in the points table and missed out on the playoffs spot for the third consecutive season. Since 2019, they have been finishing outside of the playoffs. The last time they played a playoff game was in 2018 when they lost to Kolkata in the eliminator one.
