Delhi Capitals registered their first victory in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023 after defeating Kolkata Knight Riders in the 28th match of the tournament. The hosts’ skipper won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, the batting lineup of KKR struggled a lot against Delhi’s bowling attack and they could score a below-par total of 127 runs after losing all the wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Although it wasn’t that much easy for the Capitals to chase down the target and they also crumbled while chasing the target. But somehow, they managed to cross the finishing line with a win in the end.

The fans also came up with a lot of interesting reactions after the Delhi Capitals registered their first win in the current season of the tournament. Fans took to Twitter and reacted to Delhi’s win in this clash against KKR.

Speaking of the action of the match, it was veteran opener Jason Roy who scored 43 runs for KKR in the first innings. Other than him, it was only Andre Russell who scored 38 runs with a boundary and four sixes to his name. On the back of these knocks, the visitors somehow managed to score 127 runs and lost all their all wickets in the first 20 overs of the game.

Senior pacer, Ishant Sharma, Anrich Nortje, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav scalped two wickets each alongside one wicket claimed by Mukesh Kumar.

While chasing the target, it was only the skipper and veteran opener, David Warner who stood in the middle and took the charge for Delhi Capitals. He scored 57 runs with 11 boundaries with the wood. Other than him, Manish Pandey and Axar Patel scored 21 and 19 runs respectively to win the match for DC by a close margin of six wickets scoring 128 runs for the loss of six wickets in 19.2 overs.
