The Saha vs Journalist controversy has gone on to a new level. It started with an alleged threat from the latter after Saha denied him the interview. The wicketkeeper batter took to Twitter and uploaded the screenshot of his Whatsapp chat with the journalist. He then went on to say that he won't be taking the name in public as he doesn't want to ruin the latter's career.

However, on March 5, the Board For Control Of Cricket In India (BCCI) officials had a conversation with the 37-year-old and asked to provide the details. The Siliguri-born player give them the details but was asked not to speak about it in the media. In fact, the officials, board vice-president Rajeev Shukla, treasurer Arun Dhumal and IPL governing council member Prabhtej Bhatia have said that they have the details but are not making them public.

In the shocking turn of events, senior journalist Boria Majumdar uploaded a video on Twitter and said that the 40 Test players has doctored the chats which have damaged his reputation.

"There are always two sides to a story. @Wriddhipops has doctored, tampered screenshots of my WhatsApp chats which have damaged my reputation and credibility. I have requested the @BCCI for a fair hearing. My lawyers are serving @Wriddhipops a defamation notice. Let truth prevail," Majumdar captioned the video.

Majumdar added that Saha's manager reached out to him and the former agreed for an interview after the Indian T20 Leagu auction.

“After IPL auctions on February 13, my colleague reached out to Saha, and he agreed for the interview and informed that he will do it at Kaligat ground. As I learned about this development, I requested Saha to join the zoom interview to which Saha agreed, and 8 PM was the scheduled time,” informed Majumdar.
