Ramesh Powar, coach of the Indian women’s team, agreed that Shafali Verma is a unique talent. Powar expects important contributions from every player of the team on the tour of England.

The 17-year-old is a young and aggressive batter in the Indian women’s team. Verma had an impressive start in her T20I career where she hit 617 runs with three fifties in 22 matches. She had a strike rate of 148.31.

In a virtual press conference, Powar stated that every player in the team would make a difference in England. He is working with the team to get possible combinations that would prove effective. They aim to get a total that would supersede the standard and help them get a continuous victory. The team is aiming for a combination that would help put 270 plus runs in English pitches.

Shafali Verma would make her Test debut with the England tour. She has been selected in the Indian women’s squad flying to England.
