Pakistani pacer Shaheen Afridi has picked three players that he would like to dismiss in a hat-trick and revealed those to be India's current top three batters - Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli. Notably, Afridi did get the wickets of these three in a single game, when India and Pakistan met in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, but it was not a hat-trick.

The 21-year old was recently awarded the ICC player of the year award, and he revealed that he planned for Rohit Sharma's wicket in advance. KL Rahul's wicket was a surprise to him too.

Asked on '25 questions' on ESPNcricinfo, Afridi named Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli as his dream hat-trick.

In the T20 World Cup match, he brilliantly dismissed India's top three. He bowled a yorker that slightly moved in towards Rohit Sharma as the batter got trapped in front of the stumps. Batting against left-arm pacers has been an issue for the hitman in the past and Afridi did not make it easy for him.

Eight deliveries after dismissing Rohit, Afridi sent back KL Rahul with a similar ball that moved into him. The batter could not read the line of the ball and was left devastated seeing Afridi's antics. He returned to bowl at the death, but by then Virat Kohli had reached his half-century. Afridi bowled a slower delivery to get an edge and Kohli was caught behind. They were given a target of 152 to chase down in 20 overs.

Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, Pakistan's openers required no one else to do the job. Scoring 79 and 68 runs respectively, the two guided their team to a massive 10-wicket win as the men in green beat India for the first time ever in a T20 World Cup. The two will meet again in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in October.
