The 2nd ODI between Pakistan and Australia turned out to be a historic one as Pakistan chased their highest total. Imam ul Haq and Babar Azam were the pillars of the chase as they scored centuries in the chase of 349. Azam scored 114 in 83 balls with a strike rate of 137. He hit 11 fours and a six to get to his total. Imam also played well to score 106 in 97 balls. Azam was awarded Player of the Match for his match-winning performance.

Former Pakistan captain, Shahid Afridi was still not pleased with this performance as he criticized Babar for losing his tempo. He pointed out that Babar Azam got a good start, but lost his touch towards the end.

"Amazing WIN! Good start by @babarazam258  but lost his tempo, waiting for him to step up as a match-winner. Regardless, great overall performances by @KhushdilShah_ @ImamUlHaq12 @iShaheenAfridi  You made us proud Keep it up, boys," he wrote in a tweet.

As expected, this did not go down well with the fans as they trolled him for his biased comments. "Not quite sure if I misunderstood this tweet, but is he actually throwing criticism at @babarazam258? Lost his tempo? Step up as a match-winner? You're a legend but what game were you watching? He did every bit you said and more. He's well on the way to being the GOAT," a fan said.
