As a result, he was banned for two years for not reporting a corrupt approach.
Shakib Al Hasan did not feature in the last season of the Dhaka Premier League due to a ban. The Dhaka Premier League started on May 31. It was decided that it be played in the T20 format instead of the usual 50-over format. The last season of the tournament was called off after just one round of matches due to the COVID-19 outbreak. However, the officials have stated that they will put in their best efforts for the smooth conduct of the competition.
