Shikhar Dhawan has represented 4 IPL teams

The only batsman to score back-to-back tons in IPL, Dhawan averages 34.86 and has a strike rate of 127.14. The left-handed batsman has scored 1790 runs for Delhi Capitals, 231 runs for Mumbai Indians, 969 for Deccan Chargers, and 2518 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He had played 6 seasons for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Virat Kohli is IPL's highest run-scorer with 6041 runs in his name. Suresh Raina occupies the third position with 5489 runs. SRH skipper David Warner (5447) and Rohit Sharma (5445) are placed next on the elite list.

Shikhar Dhawan doesn't have a big lead for now. Thus, he can quickly lose the second position if any other batsman plays some big knocks during the season. Delhi Capitals stunned the Kolkata Knight Riders by defeating them by 7 wickets in match number 24 of the Indian Premier League. Put in to bat first; the Knights riders failed to shine in their armour. The team struggled to find momentum and lost the fifth match of the season. KKR posted just 154/6 in the allotted 20 overs. West Indian all-rounder Andre Russell made a decent 45* to play a crucial role in seeing KKR get to 154.

In response, Prithvi Shaw troubled the KKR bowlers to help his team romp past KKR. He shared a vital partnership alongside Shikhar Dhawan, who played a supporting role. Shaw and Dhawan posted 132 runs for the first wicket against KKR. Their partnership is now the second-highest stand for the first wicket by any team against Kolkata.
