Rishabh Pant has emerged as the most prolific Indian cricketer in recent times. His aggressive nature of batting across formats has made him a regular in the team at the age of just 24 years. More recently, his 125-run knock in the third ODI against England left everyone in awe of the cricketer.

The Indian wicketkeeper-batter has been praised by former Pakistan bowler Shoaib Akhtar, who described him as a courageous cricketer with a wide array of strokes at his disposal.

"Rishabh Pant is a fearless cricketer. He has the cut shot, pull shot, reverse sweep, slog sweep and paddle sweep. He won the (Test) match in Australia, he won the match here (in England) and took India to a series victory single-handedly," Akhtar said in a video uploaded on his YouTube channel.

However, Pant has also been pushed by Akhtar to pay attention to his fitness and lose weight. He thinks the 24-year-old can become a model and make crores.

"He is a little overweight. I hope he takes care of that. Because the Indian market is big. He's good-looking. He can emerge as a model, earn in crores. Because whenever a person becomes a superstar in India, a lot of investment is made on them," he pacer said.

As for India's tour of England, they lost the rescheduled fifth Test match due to some brilliant performances by Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow. The series ended in a 2-2 draw. However, they made it up for the loss in the white-ball games. The visitors emerged victorious in the three-match T20I series and the three-match ODI series as well. The scoreline of both the series read 2-1 in India's favour.

The men in blue will now take on West Indies in a white-ball series starting on the 22nd of July. For the series, a few veteran players are rested, including Jasprit Bumrah (ODI and T20I), Virat Kohli (ODI and T20I), and Rohit Sharma (ODI).
