Virat Kohli has been going through a lean patch in his career for a while now. The former Indian skipper has not been getting the results with the bat that he desires. He has not scored an international century in over two and a half years. The world has been eagerly waiting for him to get his 71st international.

Earlier, he was getting some half-centuries, but that too has dried up in a while. His poor form has continued in India's tour of England as well. In the rescheduled fifth Test match, Virat had scores of 11 and 20 and had a score of one in the second T20I of the series.

The last season of the Indian T20 League was also a letdown for Virat. He finished the 2022 season with 341 runs in 16 matches for Bangalore at an average of 22.73 and a strike rate of 115.98 with two fifties. Many experts advised Virat to rest following the cash-rich league, which he did during South Africa's tour of India.

After missing the opening T20I against England, the former India skipper was spotted dancing and having fun with the fans in the second match. This, however, did not sit well with a huge portion of the audience. The fans felt that he is reduced to just entertaining the crowd and not actually contributing much to the game.

"He is for dance and entertain people... No impact on game," a fan wrote on Twitter. "Management should carry him as a cheerleader and as a 12th man," a fan trolled him for not performing well.

However, many users also came in support of the 33-year-old. According to one user, his mere presence on the field can help the team succeed. "His presence is enough sometimes, he is here for a long time now, his contribution matters but his presence matters too, hope he will show his form in next game," read the tweet.

Here is how Twitter reacted to Virat entertaining the crowd
