Young opening batsman Shubman Gill is likely to miss the forthcoming 5-Test series against England. The first test match of the series is going to start on August 4. The youngster is likely to be ruled out of the entire series with an undisclosed injury. Considering that Shubman Gill is expected to be unavailable for the Test series, 25-year-old Bengal opening batsman Abhimanyu Easwaran might be added to the team. Abhimanyu has traveled with the team as one of the backup players. It is known that Shubman Gill has either sustained a calf muscle injury or hamstring tear. It is still not clear how and when he picked up the injury.
