Senior Indian opener KL Rahul is enduring a very poor run of form with the bat in the ongoing four-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. He has scored only 38 runs in the three innings of the two Tests played so far in the series; with a very miserable average of 12.66 including only one 20-run knock.

Recently, the Karnataka batter made it to the headlines of social media for another thing off the field. He recently visited the Mahakaleshwar temple in the Ujjain of Madhya Pradesh with his wife Athiya Shetty. Notably, they got married earlier this month at a closed family function.

Although a section of Indian cricket fans didn’t miss this opportunity to take a dig at the 31-year-old on the micro-blogging site Twitter. A few of the fans also reckoned that KLR is inspired by former Indian skipper and batting superstar Virat Kohli.

Here’s how fans reacted:

Speaking of KL Rahul’s recent batting form, he has scored only 95 runs in 7 innings of four Tests since Bangladesh with a very horrific average of 13.57.

Earlier a few days back, the former Indian pacer Venkatesh Prasad and cricketer-turned-analyst, Aakash Chopra had a brutal face-off with each other on the micro-blogging site Twitter just to discuss the form of KL Rahul.

“I have no agenda against any player, maybe there are others who have. Difference of opinion is fine but calling contrary views as apna personal agenda and Twitter par mat laayein is funny for Aakash Chopra, considering he has made a great career by airing his views,” wrote Venkatesh Prasad in one of his tweets.

“Venky bhai, msgs are getting lost in translation. You here. Me on YT. I invite you to come on a Video Chat…we can do it Live. The difference on opinions is nice…let’s do it properly 😊I’ll not have any sponsors on it & nobody will make money out of it. Up for it? You have my number,” replied Aakash Chopra.
