The entire world is celebrating the festival of love in the form of valentine’s day, today the 14th of February. Meanwhile, the BBL also tried to celebrate this special day with their special tweet with a picture of Melbourne Stars’ skipper Adam Zampa kissing his teammate Marcus Stoinis on the latter’s cheek.
“Happy Valentine’s Day,” wrote BBL in the caption of the tweet. This cheeky tweet from BBL came up as an opportunity to take a dig at both the cricketers. Fans quickly rushed to the comment section of the picture-tweet posted by the BBL.

Talking about cricket, Stars’ skipper Zampa ended up in the Big Bash League 2023 season being the second-highest wicket-taker for his team with 16 scalps in 14 matches. Whereas on the other hand, the senior all-rounder Marcus Stoinis couldn’t perform up to the expectations. He could score only 190 runs in nine BBL appearances including two only two half-centuries to his name with a below-par average of 23.75.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old New South Wales leggie recently showed his brilliant skills with the ball in the just-concluded Sheffield Shield match against Tasmania at the Sydney Cricket Ground. He scalped 3 wickets by conceding just 41 runs in 18 overs. Notably, the national team selectors of Australia ignored Zampa from the squad of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India.
Queensland player Matt Kuhnemann was picked by the selectors in the absence of Mitchell Swepson who had to go back to his country for paternity leave.
Speaking of the Australian team’s performance in India Tests, the visitors are trailing the series by 0-1 after losing the first match against Rohit Sharma’s men. India outmuscled Pat Cummins’ men. Now, both teams will lock horns in the second of the four-match Test series at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Friday, the 17th of February later this week.
