Umran Malik has been a brilliant find for Hyderabad in the Indian T20 League. He has produced some genuine pace and troubled the best batters. In the match against Punjab, he produced a miraculous final over as he bowled a maiden and picked up three wickets.

Odean Smith, a power hitter, was at the crease and Malik took his wicket after a dot ball. He then bowled another dot ball. He then cleaned up Rahul Chahar's stumps on the fourth ball and Vaibhav Arora's stumps on the fifth ball. Malik then bowled another quick ball to try and get the hat trick on the final ball, but Arshdeep Singh got his bat to it. However, he was sent back by Kagiso Rabada and was run out in the process.

Before the final over, Malik also had taken the wicket of Jitesh Sharma in the 8th over. The 22-year old ended his spell by conceding 28 runs and picking four wickets in the four overs. Meanwhile, Hyderabad was able to restrict Punjab to 151 runs in the first innings. Liam Livingston was the star of the first innings for the men in red.
