All the franchises of the Indian T20 League are currently preparing for the next season. On 15 November 2022, all franchises submitted their final list of retained and released players for the next season. However, Punjab was also one of the. Meanwhile, they already brought some major changes. Now, Wasim Jaffer has been appointed as the batting coach.

First, they did not retain their skipper Mayank Agarwal. Shikhar Dhawan will be the new coach. Also, Trevor Bayliss will be the new coach in the upcoming season.  But, now regarding that appointment of Jaffer, the former England skipper, Michael Vaughan came up with a cheeky tweet.

Speaking of the tweet, Michale Vaughan wrote that he was surprised to see someone who got out to his bowling is now a batting coach. He wrote: "Someone who got out to me is a batting coach !!!!!!!!!!!!" Vaughan’s first Test wicket was Wasim Jaffer during the 2002 series in England.

However, Both men have been known to pull the leg of each other on the social media platform over the years, especially during India vs England matches.   

In the 20-20 World Cup 2022, England thrashed team India in the semi-final by 10 wickets. After the match, both got involved in a funny interaction on Twitter. Michael Vaughan wrote: “So @WasimJaffer14... Your forfeit... You must film yourself singing ‘Jos Buttler’s Barmy army’ and post on here please .. Unlucky .. it was a close game.”  

In reply, Wasim Jaffer appreciated England's effort by calling them superb. He wrote: “I see you're having a ball on here. And fair enough too, England were superb. But I'm not following you… I don't recall agreeing to film anything.. and please help me here, I know Jos Buttler, but what's a Barmy army?” Then, the former England skipper came up with a screenshot of Jaffer’s profile where it showed follows you.
